Elemantra is a Buffalo, NY-based quartet that blends the hazy textures of shoegaze with the heartfelt sincerity of 90’s emo & indie rock. Their sound—equal parts heavy and delicate—channels the spirit of bands like DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Ovlov while carving out a space uniquely their own. I HATE IT TOO

The Akron, Ohio based supergroup we know today comes from humble beginnings. In 2018, John Vorhies (Drums), Shane Sehmer (Guitar), and Marc West (Bass) — the remnants of Peacekeeper, Puppy Love, and Ulysses — joined forces with legendary CityCop front-man Eddie Gancos (Vocals) to record the self-titled EP and play some shows for fun. At one of these shows Shane was having a chat with Brian Sloan (Guitar, Vocals) and graciously invited him to join. This quintet spent the next year writing more songs culminating in the debut full length, “Sun Machine”. Several months later Shane moved to Johnson City, Tennessee to further his career as a tattooer, with CJ Thompson (Guitar) joining as a touring member.
